It’s Not All About the Maple Tours!
Quarry Hill Farm offers maple and farm tours year round, but if you really want the sugaring experience you need to be sure to visit Vermont in March & April. That’s when we’re boiling yummy maple syrup, so the sugarhouse is busy and in full swing. We always offer maple syrup and maple cream tastings, but it’s especially nice in the spring when the syrup is warm and fresh right out of the evaporator.
You Can’t Miss the Murals!
We have beautiful murals on the end of our sugarhouse painted by well known Vermont artist, Tara Goreau. They make the perfect backdrop for photographs. You can’t miss the murals as they are the first thing you’ll see when you pass by on Rt. 15. Taking pictures of them is encouraged. Find more examples of Tara’s beautiful art here: http://www.arteatergallery.com
In addition to sugaring we have a gorgeous timber framed barn which houses our small herd of organic jersey cows. Tours are given along with the Sugarhouse if one is so inclined. Milking demonstrations are given twice a day. For the early birds at 6:00am and for everyone else at 4:30pm. Our cows are friendly and ready for people of all ages to come pet them. Learn where your milk comes from!
No appointments necessary for either the maple or farm tours, but if your party consists of a large number you could give us a call to make sure we’re prepared for you. We give warm maple syrup tastings throughout the year and we’d like to make sure we have enough for everyone.
